Nursing Pads Fabric Finder

What is the best fabric combination for nursing pads? Nursing pads are quite easy to make and usually have an absorbent and waterproof layer. Although it's a tough choice as we have a lot of fabrics available that can serve your needs, but we're here to help you sort through the noise. We have partnered with AKAS Tex, Lycra, CoolMax, Cotton Inc & Silvadur to design & create the best fabrics for making cloth nursing pads. We broke down their construction and provided a list of fabrics for each layer so that finding the best combinations is easier than ever.

Cloth nursing pads are usually made with one or two fabrics, either an absorbent layer + waterproof layer or a combo fabric that has the absorbent layer & waterproof layers. The 2-in-1 combo fabrics are great as you don't need to do any sewing which saves you even more time and money in the process.

As you can see, it's not a question of, "What is the best fabric combination?", but rather, "What are the best fabric combinations and which will work best for me?" It all depends on the design of the nursing pad and your personal preference. You can go with an all in one fabric, like the Zorb 4D Organic Cotton Dimple CORE PUL or Zorb 4D Stay Dry Dimple CORE PUL

We do recommend you purchase a swatch first, so you can see and feel the fabric before purchasing a larger quantity for your specific application.
