  • What is the best fabric combination for cloth bibs? To be honest, there's a lot of varieties of bibs styles so it's a tough choice, but we're here to help you sort through the noise. We have partnered with AKAS Tex, Lycra, CoolMax, Cotton Inc & Silvadur to design & create the best fabrics for making cloth bibs. We broke down their construction and provided a list of fabrics for each layer so that finding the best combinations is easier than ever.

Cloth bibs are available a dime a dozen. They can be made in lots of different styles using a variety of layers. Here we will look at the 3-layer cloth bibs which includes a soft moisture wicking layer, an absorbent core layer with a thin waterproof layer for leak-proof protection. Additionally, you can use our all in one absorbent + waterproof fabrics that combine 2 layers into one which requires less sewing saving you time and money in the process.

Or you can even use our Zorb 4D Stay Dry Dimple CORE PUL, which technically combines all 3 layers into one fabric, including a top layer that has stay Dry & absorbent features combined with a waterproof layer for leak proof protection.

As you can see, it's not a question of, "What is the best fabric combination?", but rather, "What are the best fabric combinations and which will work best for my little one?" It all depends on the design of the cloth bib and your personal preference. You can go with a one-layer style or a two-layer style (absorbent + waterproof only) or a three-layer style (stay dry + absorbent + waterproof).

We do recommend you purchase a swatch first, so you can see and feel the fabric before purchasing a larger quantity for your specific application.
